I'm headed out your way next weekend. Anything I should try to see while there? I'll be taking Route 30 all the way from the Burgh.

Hahaha yeah I went once before and found it too busy but my Mom has as family reunion out that way. Just taking the opportunity to see her. Figured I'd see if there was a nice Phono oriented side trip.

Hi Moxie,
any Victrola collector who comes to the Philadelphia area should seriously consider visiting the Johnson Victrola Museum in Dover, DE. It's only about 90 minutes drive from Philly and is really worth the ride. Lots of interesting and rare machines including a tinfoil, and of course the Victor Auxetophone. They are open every Wednesday to Saturday from 9:00am to 4:30pm. They also have special events on the first Saturday of every month. This coming Saturday August 3rd the theme is "Speakeasy" and they will play music of the prohibition era. The JVM is located at 375 South New Street, Dover, Delaware 19901.

Thanks Andreas. If I don't make it this time I will keep it in mind as we travel to RI at least once a year and may benefit from a side trip.
