New Finds

Post by rgordon939 »

I was very happy to find these items. One is a Gramophone - Cinema that is complete and in the original box. It works great and all of the discs are fun to watch. The other is a Tango Two dancing couple that is also complete and in its original box and works.

Here's a video I did of my Tango couple... I love these novelty toys. There is so much one can collect when in the phonograph hobby.

Really cool. And how great to find them still in the original boxes!

If only the Gramophone-Cinema let you play a record and peek at the show! The big draws are the Charlie Chaplin and the Felix the Cat discs. What fantastic condition!

My 'Tango Two' goes by the name 'Magnetic Dancers', same couple, but she has a different dress. I am not one to stop at what was provided all those years ago, oh no. I have been working on alternates, here are two that I've recently completed.

Thanks. It is fun in finding images that would look good whirling round.
I colorized Josephine Baker's photo and am pleased with the result.
A few more are in my ‎queue of things to do. ;)

Here are two links for the Gramophone Cinema in action...

(It must be hard to get it in focus with auto focusing cameras)

Rich, in the last photo, what is the black ring for?
That is not part of my outfit.

James.
