Found in VA

Post by rizbone »

I was bored this weekend so I decided to go to an auction in Luray VA even though the pictures on auctionzip were less than promising. Imagine may surprise when I found a Sonora number 5 reproducer on one, and a brass gold plated Orthophonic on the other. Got them both for $30. too bad about the machines, but the Credenza sure sounds nice now.

Nice indeed. The brass Ortho is worth a few hundred $$.

The Sonora actually looks like a really well built machine (prior to the water damage and silverfish infestation). Not sure how nice it sounded with that skinny arm, but the Silvertone looked pretty bad by comparison.
