Just noticed there is a super nice Edison model A suitcase with a brass horn and stand coming up at Auction in southern Tennessee.Noticed it on Auction Zip under "The Auction Gallery, Loretto, TN" on Sept. 5th. Be a nice machine if someone is interested... John

That would be an Edison 'Home' Phonograph Model A as opposed to an Edison 'Standard' Model A Phonograph. Both were produced as "suitcase" designs, the 'Standard' in 2-clip and 4-clip versions; and the 'Home' includes variants such as the clockwork motor, and the skeletonized frame.

Found out today that the suitcase at this auction sold for $1600. Maybe I need to put some of my phonographs in an auction here!

What I do not like about the phonograph, is the non correct signature, heck my 1265 never had a tae signature decal on it. Also this one has what looks like a model C, not very attractive, and would count me out on this auction.
