FS: quantity of Record Shipping pads, delivery to Wayne, NJ

Post by MicaMonster »

When shipping 78rpm discs, I use ONLY TWO of these to sandwich the record, then I put the record into a box with padding. These are 11-¼" x 11-¼" 200-lb strength DOUBLE WALL cardboard pads, which I have had custom cut for me by a local cardboard and box manufacturer. I paid .40 cents each for these, and I have several hundred in stock. If anybody would like to purchase these from me at cost, I will be delivering a few hundred to the Wayne, NJ phonograph show, and have room to deliver more. I am currently out of stock of record shipping boxes (15x15x3, reinforced edges, die cut). But I have a few hundred pads left before I have to make my next order.

So, if you want any, just tell me how many. I will be arriving Saturday at Wayne early in the AM.

When you ship hundreds of 78rpm records per year, the added cost of .80 cents per disc is cheap insurance to protect the record against the worst damages. I shipped a 78rpm disc to Holland, and the outer box was crushed, then ripped apart by handling equipment. The record sandwich was safe, and delivered to the customer undamaged.
