ORIGINAL COLUMBIA REPRODUCERS - SOLD

Post by Hailey »

2 Original Columbia reproducers...including the hard to find Columbia "orthophonic-type" reproducer. Both are nickel plated. Both appear to be in good working condition.

Price is $125 which includes shipping!

Thank you!

The reproducer with the cover is not Columbia's version of an Orthophonic. The Orthophinic version is a Vivotonal(spelling) used on portables and the Vivotonal machines. The covered reproducer is either a Concert or Concert Grand. The Concert Grand is the same size as a Grafonola No. 6 like the other one shown. The smaller one is the Concert. These were made from 1909-12. They used either a mica or pleated aluminum diaphragm. These reproducers are scarce and used on the later rear mounts and the early Grofonolas.

I have one like the one on the left, the 1911 Columbia reproducer that I picked up on eBay some years back. It is happily residing the parts box but with an offer like what is stated in the title I'll let it go. It is in much better condition. Photo upon request.
