I was at an antique radio show today and saw this radio made with 2 Diamond Discs... Creative way to recycle. CDB

At least the components (that are visible) are roughly the same vintage as the records.

The fellow who made this was John Bauman - KB7NRN

He had several of these Franken-radios at the show and many of them were award winners. This was the only one on display that had any connection to phonographs.

Let's just hope those donor DD's were the typical Bang-jo or xylophone solos, and NOT "hot jazz" !!!! :o ]

I like it, and have some WW I era Diamond Discs with such high surface noise that they might be good donors.
