HELP, WHAT IS IT?
There is an arm below and behind the paper cone on my Pathé Actuelle. It appears to attach to the support pillar that hold the cone in position. The arm turns freely in a horizontal plane, but it doesn't seem to affect anything. Does it somehow trip the stop lever. What would really be helpful are directions describing how the brake mechanism works. Couple of levers under the turntable who's purpose has me stumped. Not knowing the nomenclature makes it difficult to describe the parts and pieces. Thanks for your help

Re: HELP, WHAT IS IT?
It's part of an automatic stop system. I had an Actuelle for a while but didn't get pics of it. This video actually should give you an idea of how it works complements of Moooperator.

I just found a poor pic of what your arm comes in contact with to stop the turntable.

Re: HELP, WHAT IS IT?
This will probably help. I hope it's okay to re-post it -- someone posted it here in one of the Actuelle threads, and I'm sorry I can't remember who it was, or which thread. I've had it in a folder and figured this would be the easiest way to show it to you:
I understand from these instructions how to use the auto-stop, but I haven't gotten around to adjusting it yet; I need to adjust the amount of resistance between the two parts, because right now it's much too much. Maybe this thread will spur me to get on that!

You guys are awesome, thanks for the help. Now I know what a "tone arm finger" looks like, The instruction are exactly what I was hoping for! Now I can see if I am able to follow the instructions. Hard to teach old dogs new tricks! Thanks again for the help.
