Concert mandrel question

Is there a prime determining factor when looking for the orginality of mandrels?? I have two concert mandrels that I suspect are reproductions due to the lack of wear.

One is made of aluminum and has a small nipple about ⅜ inches long on the thumbscrew end.
The other is brass plated with nickel or chrome not sure which but it is basically flush with the hole opening at the thumbscrew end.

Most likely one is for a Graphophone AB and the other I'm not sure of..
Both have the larger hole to slid over the standard size mandrels.

Any input would be appreciated..
