About a year and a half ago, I decided to change my product to something of a higher class, well at least the blanks and recordings themselves. Soon the boxes and artwork will be up there too. I am pretty happy with what I have achieved. It has taken a total of 13 years of almost day to day experimentation to bring this to fruition, a total of about 13,000 experiments. I have achieved what I have wanted all along, finally.
These blanks meet this criteria, at least I think, let me know what you think.

1. Be authentic looking
2. The formula has to be historically accurate
(They are made with the same ingredients as Edison brown wax blanks) (NOT Columbia)
3.Have to take a recording, yet, be durable enough to equal an original brown wax blank, minimum in wear, but exceed it. I had to also eliminate certain defects by careful observation and note taking, and mold design engineering. The wax is filtered several times before it goes into the mold. New molding processes in the last 2 months have made them even more quality. I do though think all who make blanks deserve patronage, each person who makes blanks, has a different idea of sound, and each has a unique sound. Below is recent photos of the latest product. What is interesting is it still takes about 33 days to finish a blank cylinder.

Thirty years ago I cast blanks from broken Dictaphone cylinders, so I can really appreciate what you have achieved. I never imagined making wax from scratch would be so difficult.

Those look great. Let us know when they are ready for sale. The loudest and clearest cylinder I own is a cylinder made by Peter Dilg in 2005. Is he still making cylinders?

They are available at this time, in groups of 6 in a pasteboard box with pegs, soon will have individual boxes. I am sure the Wizard records are still being made, Pete also cut custom wax records too.
