Sorora Phono in MAPS magazine
Does anyone know if the early Sonora phonograph as featured in the most recent MAPS magazine is a rare machine. It is the one that has the arm on a feedscrew. I have never seen one in my lifetime.

I believe there is a past thread with pics of one. You may want to check "history".....Victrolacollector wrote:Does anyone know if the early Sonora phonograph as featured in the most recent MAPS magazine is a rare machine. Yes, they're rare machines. There was a detailed article on these by Robert Baumbach, “The Sonora Feed-Screw Phonograph”, in The Antique Phonograph, December 2011, pp. 3-6. I've seen a couple of different examples but I'd like to find one for myself!Victrolacollector wrote:Does anyone know if the early Sonora phonograph as featured in the most recent MAPS magazine is a rare machine. By the way, one of these rare Sonoras is pictured on page 19 of the newest issue of The Antique Phonograph. Is that the publication you mean?
