WANTED: victrolita winding gears (Found)

Post by Dave Beck »

Looking for a set of winding gears for a victrolita. one is on the main spring barrel and the other is what the crank fits into. May consider a complete motor in working condition.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave, it would be best to provide pics of your "Victrolita" or 1-1 motor in case there are different variations.

"victrolita"

Is that a Spanish model? Yes, I know - I'm very bad.

Actually, "Victrolita" is a legitimate model name for the Victrola One-One, produced between 1925-29.
I figure that's what Dave is talking about.

Yes guys you are correct it is was also called a 1-1 but later name changed to victrolita. This has to be one of victors worse efforts. The winding assembly is very poorly built and you can tell this machine has been wound many a time. the small gear on the main spring barrel is very thin in spots and some the teeth are flattened. The spiral gear on that the crank attachs to is also worn but in better shape than the other gear.
I am attaching some photos in hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
Dave

Also please let me know if there is another type of motor that might be interchangeable.
