BA29003 Faust - Salve Dimora - Alessandro Bonci

Released just over 100 years ago, in October 1913 as part of Edison's Grand Opera series. The record is fairly worn but still sounds pretty good imho. Judge for yourself.

Those Bonci "Special Grand Opera" cylinders are amongst my favourite records. Thanks, Valecnik, for sharing that with us.

They were also re-released in about 1917 as a Royal Purple.

Yes I believe they were the only Royal Purples that were derived from wax Amberol masters. Sad that by 1917 even the Royal Purples were dubbed from Diamond Discs.
