Original vs modern shanks for Edison Diamond Disc .

Do original stylus shanks for Edison Diamond Disc reproducers have a better tone than the modern ones?My friend Jerry Donnell said the originals sound better,and I have a reproducer with my C-250 that needs a new diamond stylus mounted to the shank,which is an original.edisonplayer

As of yet, Expert Stylus has been the only source for reproduction Diamond styli. Unfortunately, there have been some problems with their recent output (there's an entire thread here about that).

Suffice it to say, a NOS Edison stylus is always an ideal replacement.

The repro stylus bars seem to me to require some filing in order to fit the reproducer.
