Show me your record duster - revisited

Post by briankeith »

Why in the world do these Edison record dusters command such high prices? I find these often - and locally, but not for these crazy prices. Just curious - maybe it's just the Edison name people capitalize on? I have four, all different, some with phonograph shop names, some plain. Most from New Jersey.

Consider yourself fortunate. While I'm not one of the buyers who would pay "crazy" prices for these, nor would I agree that they should realize outrageous prices, they simply don't turn up very often...at least not in places I have searched. I've found just one of these in 25 plus years of collecting. It was with a model W-250. I'm sure they turn up at phonograph shows (I've never attended one) but most everywhere else that I've looked, not much luck at all. Perhaps I'm alone on this but I just don't see these turn up.

There is one listed on EBay right now for a whopping $275.00 believe it or not :o (201016177570) BUT I still love showing and collecting record dusters - mainly the round ones and Christmas ones.......
