Tonearn base rubber bushing - VV 4-7
Recently picked up a VV 4-7 in very nice condition and sent off the tonearm and base for a new support. In the meantime, there is a thick rubber gasket under the tonearm base that I would like to replace as it is starting to deteriorate a bit. Any recommendations on what to use to replace this? Thanks in advance!

Google "gasket material" and you'll find lots of sources, this one for example: http://www.lowes.com/pd_215714-37672-88 ... facetInfo=
Alternatively, you could use material cut from an inner tube (remember those?). Don't know what the original material is, but a modern equivalent shouldn't be too hard to source, and would doubtless be as good or better than the original. HTH.
