Accidental Cylinder

Post by RAK402 »

This cylinder came with a lot of five from Ebay. I got the lot to get a copy of "The Blue Danube" (which turned out to be by a marimba band).

It is so warped that I did not think it would possibly play.

It is probably fairly common, but I thought it was pretty neat (I wonder if it was actually recorded during WWI?).

Billy Murray recorded "Over There" on Blue Amberol in 1917. It was such a popular song that even Caruso sang it in English for Victor. Copies ought to be common enough, but it might be in great collector demand.
