Help ID this partial machine (no cabinet)

Post by Big Beat »

Basically a motor, board, turntable and crank assembly. Works well. I see no markings other than the casting on the bottom of the motor. What machine was this?

It could be from many inexpensive makes. That was sold by Otto Heineman's General Phonograph Co. and widely used.

Looks very similar to what is in my Pathéphone VII...

What are the dimensions of the motor-board ? ( Length x width x thickness )

I'd be happy to compare to my Pathéphone and see if this is a match ?

As estott pointed out that is an Otto Heineman motor. Here is one of their ads from 1918, your motor is on the left. (Heineman Motor No.77)
I hope you find the phonograph it was used in, good luck.

Thank you! The motor board measures 10 ⅜" x 13". Did Pathé use Heineman motors like this one?

The motor looks the same as the one in my Pathé Actuelle
