78 & Edison Records approx 70,000 (denver colorado)
condition: good
This collection has been in storage since 1968, originally from Majestic Melody Mart Record
Store in Jersey City New Jersey. Brought across the country in 1979, this uncataloged mass of records has hidden gems to be found. If only 1000 of these records are valued at $100 each you can make a huge profit. The thrill of the hunt, this is an all or none deal. Only serious buyers need reply. You buy the entire 30x12 foot storage unit or you get none of it. It must all be taken away.
Yes this is a daunting task, but if you truly love the old music, hoard records beyond the norm, have an adventurous spirit and are viewed by your friends as insane...then this collection is for you.

No price is mentioned, other than a reference to IF 1000 are worth $100 each... This would take a semi tractor trailer to haul them and where would you store them? Chances are there are 65,000 Bing Crosby and Dinah Shore duplicates...

The records have been stored 46 years in presumably less than archival conditions. What could go wrong? A trailer load of rubbish for only $100, 000.00? Such a deal!

One Victor scroll record = 6.20 ounces (My measurement)
X 70,000 = 434000 ounces or 27, 125 pounds
All bets are off if Edison Diamond Discs are involved!

Looks like it is all or nothing, "pig-in-a-poke," from the way that the ad is worded. It could be some good stuff or absolute junk. No way to tell really.

Pretty big IF. Quick, pull out 70 records from the nearest antique mall. Any of them worth $100? Even if I go into my own collection and try it I'd be hard pressed to find a record I wouldn't sell for $100.
