Edison Home B 2-4 minute question
I have an Edison Home B with 2-4 minute conversion that has a damaged feed screw. Will I have to replace the complete feed screw, mandrel and pulley as a unit or does it come apart? Thanks, Jan

Re: Edison Home B 2-4 minute question
You only need the feedscrew. The whole assembly comes apart and individual parts can be replaced independently. The feedscrew slips over the mandrel shaft and can rotate independently of it. At the two minute setting the planetary gears are locked and the feedscrew rotates with the mandrel shaft. In the 4 minute setting, the planetary is unlocked and the feedscrew rotates at half the mandrel shaft speed which causes the carriage to take twice as long to traverse the mandrel.
Since the feedscrew is damaged, check the feed nut for signs of damage also. Ron Sitko, George Vollema and several others can supply the part.

Thanks a lot Jim. I was hoping that would be the case.
