Got my Vic V and back together again!

Post by mattrx »

This machine and original horn were purchased late last year from a forum member. The horn was damaged beyond being able to be used when I picked it up. In January I was able to pick up the record cabinet. Today I got the horn back from Don Gfell and I just couldn't wait to post pics. Don did a great job getting the color as close as possible. With a little more cleaning on the machine's cabinet I think they will match quite well. Very excited tonight. I realize that only a phono nerd would get "excited" about a machine, but this one does it for me. I need to find a better place in the house to display it, but for now I'll just sit and look....

Matt

What a great combination thanks for sharing.

I guess that makes me a phono nerd as well.

That's a great looking outfit. There's no need to apologize to this crowd for being a phono nerd. We consider it a badge of honor. Jerry

The biggest problem tonight is that I cannot play any records. The kids are asleep! My wife is tolerant, but waking the kids up might just cross the line...maybe..

Victor V's just rule! They beat the pants off something like iPhone 6 and as I remind my family my Victor V will outlive all modern gadgets hands down. Thanks for sharing.

Congrats! One of the real joys of our hobby is experiencing that moment when a long-neglected phonograph comes back to life again.

Very nice, Matt! I would be proud to own such a beauty.
