Bearing more than a passing resemblance to the early Victrola/HMV cabinet style, this poor old thing is on it's second listing, having previously failed to attract even an opening bid of £5!
In one family ownership from new, and still with it's original paperwork, won't someone in the London/Middlesex area rescue it? The brochure alone must be well worth a fiver!
The "Finsbury" brand name was probably chosen because City Road, Finsbury, London EC1 was once the centre of the British gramophone industry. Columbia, G&T, Itonia, Metropole, Perophone and Scala were just a few of the firms with a City Road address.
