Edison Diamond Disc Jukebox
I have heard that Edison had made a disc jukebox, it could hold up to 12 records. Is this true?

Re: Edison Diamond Disc Jukebox
I know there's an experimental changer prototype on display at the Edison National Historic Site (I've seen it) but I'm not aware of any other Edison product that played multiple Diamond Discs. Maybe there were after-market attempts at this?
There's a picture on page 254 of George Frow's Diamond Disc Phonograph book.

Wow what a fantastic machine.
I notice it is designed for playing Long Play records (there is one on the turntable) do you know if this may have been for used as a promotional machine to demonstrate the the Long Play format? Although quite how playing 7 Edison LP discs non-stop would have stimulated sales, I really can't imagine!
All the best

That machine looks like a Rube Goldberg contraption. I'd love to see how it works.

I've read about this device and I've always wanted to see it, so thanks for the post. I believe that the horn and reproducer were stationary, and the turntable moved laterally . We need an Edison National Historic Site YouTube posting.

Re: Edison Diamond Disc Jukebox
There are actually two versions of this machine at the ENHS: one with some wooden parts, and another mainly of metal.
According to Frow, they were geared both for standard DDs and LPs....
