I.C.S reproducer

Post by wtt11 »

Hi all, just find this reproducer on eBay. According to George L. Frow, it's used on I.C.S Amberola 30 to play recording made into horn. Can any one show me a I.C.S Amberola 30? What's difference? Thanks in advance!

IIRC, the only difference is a speed control that's exposed. The adaptor ring and tube allowed the use of the modified H reproducer to play 4M wax language records, which play at 90 RPM. Of course, you could also play regular wax Amberols using this setup as well.

As stated the main difference between the standard Amberola 30 and ones made for I.C.S. was the reproducer. To reduce the cost of the machines for the schools Edison replacer the standard Diamond reproducer with a modified Model-H reproducer. The reason the tail of the reproducer was modified was so that it didn't drag on the cylinder.

Thanks everyone! Does I.C.S Amberola 30 have celluloid tag as used on standard I.C.S? I don't see that seller post machine separately... probably he comes this reproducer alone.
