Banana Oil Record

Post by Phonofreak »

Several Years ago, I was at the CAPS show and banquet. We had a guest speaker, Dr. Dimento. I used to listen to his radio show when I was stationed in San Diego. He is an avid records collector and shared some recordings of his vast collection. One song in mind is Banana Oil. I don't know who the artist was or even who pressed it. If anyone has this recording, can you post it? I'd love to hear it and hopefully find the record.

Vaughn de Leath's version is the only one I know of:

IIRC, it's the flip side of Ukulele Lady...

Reminds me very much of Jones and Hare's "That's a Lot of Bunk"

Thanks for the videos. Now I have my marching orders. I know what records to look for. Thanks so much.
