Re: Strange Diamond Disc Mystery Record
That would be the "tuning" disc sent to dealers to help regulate the speed of a Diamond Disc machine. This was sent out with a pitch pipe. The dealer would play the record, blow the pipe, and adjust the speed of the record to match the pitch pipe frequency. These don't show up every day.

Is the pitch indicated so that you can use a standard pitch pipe?

The hard-to-find sleeve for the record indicates you should use an "international A Pitch-pipe". I'm not sure what that would be in 1913 - 440? 448?estott wrote:Is the pitch indicated so that you can use a standard pitch pipe?
