As well as re-motoring the machine, probably by courtesy of Paillard, it appears that a previous "restorer" has :
Stripped the ebonised finish from the case.
Stripped the nickel plating from the tonearm and back bracket.
Refitted the corner columns upside down!
Fitted a later soundbox which is not even by G&T/HMV.
Even so, this is potentially a fine machine well worthy of proper restoration.
