Is this for real? Says "all original" Is that reproducer original or a modern reproduction?

Well, the reproducer appears to be a Model B: it may not have been factory original to the phonograph, but would have been available as an upgrade early on. I do not know whether anyone has made repros of them; and it looks as if it has a serial number...

What strikes me is the condition of the bedplate and striping: it just looks too perfect for a machine 115 years old or so (unless it had been kept unused in a bank vault all that time). Perhaps the seller is stretching the truth slightly: "all original" mechanically, but not cosmetically?

This machine is one of Gene Manno's that he is selling. I was over at his place and saw the machine in person. It is all original and I must say it is one of the most beautiful Comcert machines I've ever seen. The machine, horn, stand, everything is beautiful. I bought several of his machines and am very pleased. If you have any questions let me know.

Looks to me like the lower bedplate has been redone but the upper is original.

I would have to agree with Andersun,
also, to my eyes the cover appears to have been "top-coated"?, (because of the look of open grain).

I now believe both the upper and lower have been redone. The signature on the upper bedplate goes underneath the patented plate.

I completely agree. All 4 corner decorations are identical as well. Weren't they all hand painted, therefore as unique as snowflakes?
