I was looking on ebay and saw an Edison Fireside Model B with cygnet horn. The ebay No. is 231463130864. The seller is raving about the restoration by Midge Wall. Has anybody ever heard of that person? I like the comment on the posting about using the Diamond B to play 2 min. cylinders, Ugh

. And the H reproducer is an extra one. If someone can post the ebay listing, that way the membership can see it.

Doesn't refer to Midge Wall now.
Maybe it's himself, his other item is a restoration service!

I don't know who Midge Wall is, but the photos show at least three different Firesides. Check out the grain patterns on the fronts.

From a completed listing, here's an example of "Midge Wall" quality. The random Fireside pics, as pointed out by George, are even more questionable.

It still does, it's down in the description which reads as follows:
"Near museum quality, Edison Fireside Model B phonograph complete with crane & Cygnet horn.
Phonograph has been completely professionally restored by Midge Wall, both mechanically & aesthetically. ALL ORIGINAL EDISON PARTS WERE USED DURING RESTORATION. Machine has been professionally sound-tested & includes two Edison reproducers--an Edison Model B & an Edison Model H 4-minute reproducer. Both of these reproducers have been completely cleaned, restored, rebuilt & have new styli installed.
This phonograph both looks & sounds absolutely magnificent! Wonderful addition to any collection.
Thanks for looking. "Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration"....Thomas Alva Edison"
I can't help but wonder what makes her a "professional" after seeing that Exhibition rebuild posted above.
And as George pointed out, there are at least 3 machines posted in the pictures. Who knows what you are actually buying, this is a very risky auction in my opinion.

Kinda wanna wonder if she's a.) related to a certain Peter, b.) said Peter's drag alter ego, c.) trading on said good fellow's name, or d.) none of the above. Based on the pictures, I'm gonna say d., though c.'s a contender.
