New Arrival - Edison HOME with Horn & Crane

Post by CDBPDX »

Announcing a new arrival, an Edison suitcase HOME cylinder player. Didn't work when I got it but after a few tweaks, it plays loud and clear! I'm very happy! And it sure dresses up the shoppe!

It cost an arm and a leg, more than I've ever paid for a phonograph, but it will be fun to work on, get it in like new running condition.

It has a dealer tag from Philadelphia.

I'd love to see the dealer tag. I'm a sucker for those. For me they are a HUGE plus!

There is a tag on the machine from C. J. Heppe & Son, Philadelphia and one on the horn from WER??? MUSIC HOUSE on Southampton Street in Easton, PA.

It is serial number 24332. I think that is about 1899..??

It shows it's age, but still looks good. Needs a new spring, some cleaning and greasing, but the reproducer seems to work OK. I like it!

Nice dealer tag Cliff. I have the same Philly dealer's decal on a Vic.VI. I guess they sold Victor & Edison.

I'm pretty sure that the horn label is for Werner Music House, 432 Northampton St., Easton, PA. I believe they also sold Victor products.
