Finally I have accomplished a few True Tone Diaphragm Videos

Thankfully I had Bill and a couple others to make some videos of my True Tone Diaphragm so that I could hear it and see it as well as some of you. I made one of my own for You Tube and that was two years ago. I just couldn't seem to master the sequence to get any more up and then I dropped the camera. I decided I would give it another try and finally after hours on the phone with Apple Help I have managed to get several done. I hope to share some of my records. I tend to like a wide variety and will show some things I enjoy that may have a limited audience. The realization finally of the new stylus from Bruce though Steven Medved has made the final outcome of the sound the best its been. I have yet to master the camera and perhaps will at some point get something with even better sound, although I am rather surprised recording at the distance from the machine which I normally listen to it that the sound comes though quite well. Its not exactly like being here, somewhat less tonal range I would say, but still it gives picture of the over all performance.

A couple more I managed to get up. These pop pieces aren't the best sound but still of interest. I have the camera a bit too low I think as the sound improves a little as you raise up for that point.. I will adjust it on the next videos, this is all new to me. I see on the Taussig selection I spelled the violoncello wrong. But as of yet I don't know how to make changes to existing selections on you tube. Maybe someone here can tell me the procedure.

Larry, I have several takes of "Prelude in C Sharp Minor" played by Frederick Kinsley. It must be a challenging piece - as you might expect, there are some variations how he played it each time, some a bit better in places than others. Which take is this?

It seems hard to record the "presence" that you hear coming from an acoustic phonograph, even with modern equipment. I almost get chills every time I hear that record live. Videos rarely do them justice, this record in particular. Still, this video isn't bad.

By the way, how hard is it to house-train a huge jackrabbit?

I am not really up on the take information but I assume the scratched letters at the bottom in the run off is them? It says 9565 B-1-3.

Yes in person the effect is more dynamic and perhaps if I had a better recording set up it would sound a bit more like it does. Yet it is close and the fellow I worked with at Apple trying to get these down loaded said I was at the maximum for HD which is part of the reason it was slow to upload to You Tube. It may not have helped that I dropped this camera a couple years back making the first video. I am working on a piano selection now. Its one of the better attempts at piano sound of the ones I have. I made a set of cassette tapes of the machine a while back and that captured closer the actual in person sound. But then a tiny mic these cameras have wouldn't seem to compete with a larger mike.

Great videos Larry. Your William and Mary Edison looks great. Makes me want to fix up my W&M console and put in some grille cloth in it! I bought several of your Truetone diaphragms and they sound so pure. I demonstrated the Truetone at this month's Golden State Phonograph Society meeting in So. Calif. The Truetone on a Dance reproducer beat the Edisonic reproducer that was on the Chippendale Edison.
