Lucky for us, it is dated 9-17-13 or September 17 1913.
As I started to leaf through it, I was struck by what was in the catalog. Then it dawned on me.....The Plaza Talking Machine Co. Inc. NY.
That's Central Park and in a very prestigious neighborhood (then & now). Plaza Hotel, etc... No wonder the catalog is so fancy..
There are two pages dedicated to the $500 Aux-e-to-phone. then models like the School, 0 - VI and the line up of Victrola's starting with the $15 IV. Also, pages of V-VXI's along with special finishes. Horns, needle tins (even the 1000), record binders (I have never seen) and some records.
However, what I find most interesting is the Vic. VI type A or B (not sure). There were only a few hundred of these late "slip-in" elbow type A model VI's made. There is no record of how many type B's were produced.
I have never seen or know of one surviving.
In fact, this may be one of the last catalogs to promote the Victor VI. By late 1913, you could get something more up to date for $100.
Anyway, I took some very quick pics of the 44 pages to give you an idea and to share some great stuff.
I just wish I could place an order on line. I would order two Vernis Martin's right away....
Check it out. Thank you for the kind words. I'm always happy to share information where I can...
