had this early Home on eBay. Someone on this board sent me a message saying it was all wrong? I see nothing wrong, but please pick this machine apart for me. Instead of posting a bunch of pics, I am just putting the eBay listing. Thanks

Maybe he's picking on the 4 screw reproducer clamp carriage on it, instead of having the 2 screw version.

Re: HELP IDENTIFIYING THIS EDISON
I think it has the correct reproducer. It has the glass diaphragm. He said the ID plate was wrong and the decal on the lid was wrong which I know it is not? But he is hiding behind another name as so many people do. I use my Amberola on every thing I do. No use to hide your activities unless your hiding.ChuckA wrote:Amberola wrote:had this early Home on eBay. Someone on this board sent me a message saying it was all wrong? Re: HELP IDENTIFIYING THIS EDISON
If you want to get real anal then you don't have the very early lid decal, the difference in in the number of lines at the fold back of the ribbon. The early decal has only 12 lines, later has more than double that.Amberola wrote: I think it has the correct reproducer. It has the glass diaphragm. I wouldn't worry about the troll's remarks, it's a good machine and worth your asking price.
My machine is #1311

Does that sound about right?ChuckA wrote:If you want to get real anal then you don't have the very early lid decal, the difference in in the number of lines at the fold back of the ribbon. No, at the ribbon fold back, near the "H" in phonograph or the "E" in Edison
