The proper term is "Cyl-O-Phone" (as in "cylinder phonograph"). The first advertisements in the April 1908 Talking Machine World used this term, although in May is was labeled "Cyclo-Phone," but this quickly reverted to "Cyl-O-Phone" and it's believed that the temporary terminology was simply a typo.Phonofreak wrote:What's a cyclone cabinet?
