Stylus Question
I am considering making an electronic cylinder player/recorder. I thought I would use a Stanton 500 cartridge, but wondered if anyone has a suggestion on what stylus to use? Also, do I need a different stylus for 2 or 4 minute cylinders?

Re: Stylus Question
There are special styli that you have to buy for cylinder records. There is one availible specifically for 2 minute records and another one for 4 minute records. I'll edit this reply with a link in a few minutes as soon as I find it.

Thanks, Nick...
I thought I had seen an article which indicated there were special styli for 2 and 4 minute cylinders, but never have found a source...

Re: Stylus Question
I'm pretty sure you can buy both two and four minute styli for the Stanton 500 cart from Kurt Nauck over at www.78rpm.com
