Re: Lenin-Tone Strikes Again
Oh, my goodness! It appears that the perfectly normal and authentic Edison Diamond B reproducer, mailed by me some time ago to Mr. Dale Winsley, has been hijacked...diverted by unknown subversives...and a cruel (and crude) substitution made.
I am shocked. Shocked!
Mr. Sleywindale and I had both noticed how it somehow dropped off the USPS tracker for a brief but utterly mysterious period of a few days, to reappear just as mysteriously on the tracker yesterday, and on his porch today.
Imagine a surreptitious handoff under cover of darkness, a stealthy overnight flight to an unnamed Balkan nation, an efficient and undetectable replacement by highly trained technicians...and a quick re-insertion into the bag of Mr. McDalesleywin's loyal but unsuspecting mail carrier.
And how could it be that another, almost identical, example of this rare unit could have turned up so recently - as documented on this selfsame forum? Coincidence? We think NOT!
(And now it lies in his home, its contagious red-ness infecting his capitalist lair, subtly converting yet another to the ways of the red banner. Mission accomplished, Bulgarian cell No. 437A/6!)

Clay
Arthur W. J. G. Ord-Hume's Laws of Collecting
1. Space will expand to accommodate an infinite number of possessions, regardless of their size.
2. Shortage of finance, however dire, will never prevent the acquisition of a desired object, however improbable its cost.
