This is an accurate replica of an 1896-1899 Berliner Hand Wind Gramophone.
This is the same mechanism that became the 1900 Consolidated Talking Machine Co. Model “D”, and later the $3.00 Victor.
I believe that these replicas were made in the 1970’s or 80’s, and are great for demonstrating a hand wind phonograph, because they play fairly well, as long as your arm holds up.
