A very sweet scene.
My In-laws had similar reactions when I played old German discs for them.
Often they would joyfully sing to the music of their parents.
James.

I saw this movie at an Art theater when it was released. A sad story about an old Jewish widow who was about to have her little button shop taken from her by Nazis.

Do you have any idea of the title of the movie? I'd love to get it.

Hi Harvey,
I believe this was released on dvd by Criterion. The title is "The Shop on Main Street". Linda and I drove into Pittsburgh from Greensburg to see it in the Shadyside part of Pittsburgh. It is a wonderful film with an excellent musical score. It was an award winning film. You should see it.
