One more mainspring issue

So this pertains to that pesky Diamond Disc mainspring that I have posted about before. It has been cleaned and regreased, but as it winds down, it creaks, like a dry hinge. Very soft creaking, but noticeable. Does it just need more grease, or what?

Is it the spring or the barrel? You should have a thin metal washer between the spring barrel and the motor mount. If it's not there, I can see where slow speed friction would make it creak. Just a thought.
