Hi All-- I am repairing a Madame Hendren doll for a family. The doll has been in the family since new. I have the motor running again---but I have a question regarding the reproducer-- I've attached a couple pictures that clearly show the tiny rubber gaskets to be dried and cracked. Questions to those who have done surgery on these dolls in the past-- 1)Should I attempt to rebuild the reproducer? 2) If so, does the gasket retaining ring press in or does in screw in? 3) What has been found to be the best gasket material to use and 4) Should I just leave it alone knowing that even rebuilt, the sound is minimal at best?
Thanks for any and all help--- The Rolf's supplied me with a great article written by John Mehling on the repair of the motors, but it doesn't address rebuilding the reproducer---only cleaning it. If anyone has contact information for John, I'd love to have the opportunity to ask him about the reproducer, as well.
Thanks!!
Brad Abell
