Amberola VI transition from first type to second type

Post by PeterF »

I made the mistake of adding onto another, older, thread on the Amberola VI...so my question got buried.

Does anyone have rough production numbers for the first type Amberola VI, with the unique motor and similar configuration to the Amberola V? Frow indicates the first type was only available for part of 1913, with the Fireside-powered version coming out in December of that year.

In the limited amount of surfing I've done, I've not seen any serial numbers over 1000. Could it be that they sold that few before changing them over?

Not starting a registry, but if you have one of those first models, please share your serial number with us.
