Very nice—I’m sure that I speak for a lot of us when I say that we’re looking forward to seeing photos of your success. :D

(I take it that it needs a lot of work?)

We know you can do it, Wyatt! You are the man for the job! Please tell the board the subtle -- and the not-so-subtle -- nuances of this restoration that make it such a challenge both technically and ethically, if you will. This is not a job for the dip-strip tank, is it?

MicaMonsterMeister,

I think we are all looking forward to see this beauty born again. Please get on with it. A good place to start would be with alot more "before" pictures. To use a term Zeppy probably can relate to, what is your "due date"?

Regards, Valecnik

"Number Two" has spent the last month at my house, and I took many photos of its unrestored state. Ten of those photos will appear in the next issue (June) of the Sound Box. This machine turned a 2-part article on early Amberolas into a 3-part...!

It's a fascinating machine; very prototypical.

This, Wyatt, is fascinating. Where has this poor beast been stored since 1910? (In a dungeon from the look of it.)
By the way I REALLY like the B A Rolfe transfers on your site. They are REALLY good both technically and musically. My Dad, as a kid, was fond of B A Rolfe: they had no Edison but they did listen to his broadcasts every week.

You have some very interesting pictures on your site Wyatt. You also note there that the reproducer has a longer top tube which reaches into the horn elbow and it will ONLY work on THIS machine. Does it follow then that any other "regular" M or L will not work with this machine? It would be too short?

Also it appears that the horn elbow is a gold wash?
