WANTED (Found) : Columbia Fiber Gear, Picture inside

Post by columbia1spring »

I need the gear with fiber gear attached for a Columbia disc and there client phonographs. I need a complete unit with everything attached together ready to go. I realize this is all available repro, but lets try original first.
what I need it circled in red..
If you have a whole motor I'd consider that if I had to...
Thank You!!!

My advice is to get a replacement from Ron Sitko. The originals were made of a pressed fiber material that breaks and crumbles with age. Ron's gears are made exactly like the original. However, they are made put of Delron, a tough slippery plastic. These will last practically forever. You will be much happier in the long run, in case you get an original that fails, and you have to start over again.

If I cant find a useable original set up, I will then send out what I have and have a new gear installed. I tried to install a new one months ago and that did not go well...

I agree, A new gear would probably be best. I have installed them both in Columbia and an early Victors with great results. Ron Sitko would be my choice as well. No worries at all

I believe it's Delrin. It can be machined like metal. Great stuff.
