That is a rather cheerful tune for a ship sinking. I would have expected something more somber.

There used to be a really old gal that lived across the street from my folks back in the 1970's and she came over here on the Lusitania. She showed me all the passage tickets or whatever you call all of that stuff and they were all beautifully engraved and one of them opened up to probably 2 feet across with a steel plate engraving of the ship at the top. All that stuff probably got tossed out when she died. She was a nice gal, and I used to mow her lawn for her once in awhile. I asked her what she thought when she found out it had been sunk, and she said she didn't find out about that for years. She lived on a farm and didn't have time or inclination to pay attention to everything that was going on in the world. Kind of funny in a lot of ways. She had some really nice wood shoes though and wore them around her place. She said they were more comfortable to her than regular street shoes.
