Question On A Stewart Phonograph.

I just recently got a green Stewart Phonograph. The connector that holds the reproducer to the arm is missing. I saw the thread on the Stewart Phonograph and it has a good picture of the connector. I know I have a part similar to what the picture shows or, I can make one out of brass shapes from the hobby shop. Here is my question: Is the reproducer stationary and only plays lateral records? Or does it swivel to play Pathé or Hill and Dale records? That way, I know what to find or make.

The part you are missing is a 45 degree elbow approx. ¾" OD and 9/16" ID. The 90 degree elbow has a slot in it that corresponds with a set screw on the part attached to the tonearm. The slot is cut so that the elbow will rotate and the screw fits in the slot to keep it attached. The reason most are missing is from swollen potmetal and the friction caused by the screw when the elbow is rotated in the slot. A substitute elbow could be made, as the only requirements are (1) the elbow fits into the tonearm piece and (2) the reproducer fits by inserting the neck into the elbow and holding with friction only.
