Edison auction find project

Picked this up at a local auction yesterday, along with a columbia desk phonograph for a little bit over a C-note. How rare of a machine is the B375? any ballpark estimates on the total number produced? I know the diamond disc book mentions sales figures for a couple months, and when they started and stopped production.

I'm also trying to figure out what the correct motor and bedplate are, as somebody in the past gutted a 150 to use for parts for this project, but they never finished it.

The frame for the grill is a tight fit, so it's not fully installed in the pictures, and the drawer is stuck shut, so who knows what is on the inside (too light to be full of discs).

After the factory fire in Dec, 1914, the A375 was changed to the B375 and was equipped with the standardized disc motor.

I recently had an entire grille made for one of my B-375's. A time-consuming and expensive project, but the end result was indistiguishable from an original. The craftsman also supplied me with an extra inner latticework section, which I woulld be glad to share with you if needed. Just contact me by direct email.

Wow, that's amazing, what a small world this is. I'm in Australia and I have the Edison Tag from B375 SM 208, one serial number digit before this one.

Thanks all for the words of encouragement and assistance. I'm not exactly sure what my plans are regarding this cabinet, as I need to put time into finishing my Masters thesis, but I do agree that it is worthy of a great restoration.

Also, has anybody kept track of serial numbers for this machine?
