Here is a transitional Model C with very crisp nickel plating. Fresh gaskets and a good stylus. Price is $150 shipped anywhere within the continental US.

Can you explain what a transitional model C reproducer is? What is the difference between this one and the regular model C?

Hi Harvey.

The transition C was apparently Edison's frugailty at work. The body was milled to be a winged C but the wing holes were filled and "Rep'r " stamped between them. It is my understanding that when the wing was dropped and Edison started machining new top bodies that he made use of the stock he had for the winged variant rather than tossing them out.
