Edison Crane Parts/set up

Can anyone tell me if there are different upper guides for the various models of Edison cylinder machine cranes used for larger morning glory horns? I tried an original I had here on a Triumph and the upper guide seemed too short. The rod did not go down plumb into the lower foot.

I had a box of old feet and upper guides from replacing missing cranes over the years, and I seem to recall noticing some differences, but never paid much attention to it.

To make things worse, I straightened up the shop and organized too well and can't locate those parts!

So, if anyone has an answer and a spare upper guide, I would love to here about it. I plan to keep looking for my spares, too!

Hi Dave- I'm sure that I have a nice chrome rod hanging around. I'm sure that for your Triumph MG Horn, the lengthier, the better?

Thanks very much, but I do not need the rod, only the steel upper guide. It is stamped steel, bent at an angle and has a hole in for the lower rod to go through. It fits just under the bedplate frame.

There is a difference in the case brackets for the original Edison cranes depending on the model.
Pictured are a few original brackets, stamped H, S and T for Home, Standard and Triumph.

Interesting: the Edison crane that I currently have on my Home has no discernible stamp on the upper bracket.
