One that got away - what the heck was it?

Literally happened onto this estate sale while driving, and there had been an older phono there but I had missed it by minutes. This sale had been posted on CraigsList, still up even though the sale is over, and a distant picture of the machine is in the photo linked below:

Glad it found a good home, which is all I'm interested in - that it land in caring hands - though I do not recognize the grill shape at all. Anyone familiar with that make/model of machine?

Looks like a larger Columbia Viva-Tonal in the model 700 series (700, 710, 711). Would have been a nice find.

Checking images on Googly-eye, I do believe you're right on both counts. Somebody knew exactly what they were looking at and snagged it early. Good on them. Wonder if that person contributes to this forum ...?
