Where My Money Went This Week

Post by rgordon939 »

At one time I had two arms and two legs. After buying these cylinders I now have one of each but I don't regret it. Thirty six new never played Pink Lambert cylinders in their original boxes and tops. Beautiful pink coloring as they were not exposed to light.

Wow, what a find. Don't worry, you'll get to used to eating with one hand only. Important thing is that you can still crank a phonograph

Congratulations!

FANTASTIC! Do you know the back story of how they survived in mint condition?

All I know is that the collector had them for years and that they sat in their boxes on a shelf in a cabinet.

Very nice find! Does anyone know if pictures of Lambert recording sessions exists, It would be interesting to see, but probably as most, nothing exists. I know they all started out as wax master blanks, I just wonder what kind of recording heads they used and machines, (probably Edison Triumphs).

I just wonder how much you paid for these cylinder? They are mint..the few I have seen have splits or very light pink, almost white.

The closest think I own are the reproductions, one was a nice direct pressing by Rob at Edisonia..."Nearer my God to thee".
